The Most Swoon-Worthy Industrial Wedding Venues in Washington

There are countless amazing venues in and around the Seattle area and we are so excited to feature a few of our favorites. For couples wanting a spacious venue, modern/edgy aesthetic and creative freedom, check out these picturesque industrial venues.

When it comes to wedding planning, where you get married is one of the most significant decisions you’ll make (aside from who you marry, which presumably you’ve already decided!) Picking your venue typically happens early in the planning process, so you might be wondering where to start. The main factors to consider are venue style, location, and cost

I recommend focusing your venue search on style first because it establishes the basis for other aspects, such as decor, colors, catering options, guest list size, etc. I generally categorize venues into 5 different styles — Industrial, Rustic, Traditional, Garden, and Unique Experiences – and will be sharing my favorite Washington venues in each style over this 5-part “Favorite Venues” series.

Favorite Venues Part I: Industrial

Common Elements: Exposed brick, Minimalist, High ceilings, Open concept

One of the main benefits to industrial spaces is how flexible they are. Typically, these venues will have plenty of open space with very few fixed structures, leaving you creative freedom for how you’d like your wedding to flow. Industrial venues are some of my favorites because of their raw, edgy aesthetic, which creates a beautiful contrast when you add softer tones with decor and florals.

The 101

  • Where: Seattle (Pioneer Square)

  • Why we love it: Lighting and layout. Between its ultra-high ceilings and massive windows, you won’t find an industrial space that has better natural light. The space combines glass, brick, concrete, and wood elements throughout, so you can easily mold this space to what you want.

Within Sodo

  • Where: Seattle (Sodo)

  • Why we love it: Best indoor / outdoor option in Seattle. It’s like having two venues to work with. The outdoor space is a covered chic, modern rooftop overlooking the city, while the indoor space comprises multiple rooms boasting exposed brick, concrete floors, and warm tones

Metropoloist

  • Where: Seattle (Sodo)

  • Why we love it: Simple and customizable. This venue takes open-concept to the next level. Structurally, it contains all the modern, industrial elements, but the floorplan is completely flexible and the space can easily be decorated to incorporate your own personal aesthetic.

The Press Room

  • Where: Tacoma

  • Why we love it: A nod to its history. Appropriately named, this venue used to be a printing press. The space has preserved much of that history, giving it the part-industrial, part-rustic vibe. It adds character and depth which inevitably enhances your wedding environment.

This list is by no means comprehensive! To see more venues, use a tool like The Knot’s Wedding Directory site or get a quote for our services.
