The Corson Building: A Georgetown Hidden Gem
Brooke + Ben
The Corson Building in Seattle, WA
8.6.23
Last August, I had the joy of coordinating the gorgeous summer wedding of Brooke and Ben at the Corson Building. Brooke and Ben met at their best friend’s wedding, where they were paired to walk down the aisle together - so cute! Brooke and Ben wanted their wedding day to be special for all their loved ones, who clearly played a huge role in their love story.
I’m so excited to share this wedding because not only were Brooke and Ben an extremely down-to-earth, kind, and a genuinely cool couple, the Corson Building is also one of my favorite venues.
The Venue
The Corson Building is located in Seattle’s Georgetown neighborhood. Georgetown is just a little bit south of downtown Seattle, but it doesn’t even feel like you’re in Seattle at this venue.
It’s such a hidden gem of a venue - it gives off old Italian vibes (I haven’t been Italy, but trust me on this one).
There’s a lush garden, ivy everywhere, and intimate spaces for a ceremony and dinner.
I imagine this venue is a photographer’s dream since it’s so naturally beautiful.
The Vendors
From the florist to the catering staff, each of the vendors chosen by Brooke and Ben truly helped make this wedding day feel unique and effortless.
Venue/catering/bartending: Corson Building
They’re a tight-knit bunch and made the day run so smoothly with flexibility and a can-do attitude (plus they are all cool).
Photographer: Mikayla Herrick
Mikayla specializes in film and is putting out a children’s book soon! I loved the effortlessness of her photos and unique perspective.
Florist: Bond in Bloom
Perfectly brought together Brooke’s modern, neutral vision to life. Her ceramics were the perfect touch.
HMUA: Glammed by Victoria
Got ready offsite at Alexis Royal Sonesta Hotel in Seattle. Brooke looked gorgeous and natural.
Rentals: Pedersen’s
We used their chairs, tables, and table runners.
Little details I loved:
Escort cards were tiny animals spray painted gold (see photo below).
Dinner table ceramics were by Shelby, the florist (Bond in Bloom).
Matchbooks as favors for the guests.
